Cameroon's manufacturing sector, particularly in the coastal regions like Douala, faces extreme humidity and salinity, which accelerate the degradation of standard carbon steel. This creates a critical demand for high-grade structural steel pipe that can withstand atmospheric corrosion without frequent replacement.
In the interior regions, the growth of mining and energy projects has increased the need for specialized alloys. The local market is shifting from basic imported materials to precision-rolled components, where round tube steel is essential for everything from heavy machinery frames to oil and gas transport systems.
However, the reliance on traditional rolling techniques has often led to inconsistencies in wall thickness and yield strength. The integration of advanced duplex and titanium alloys is now becoming a necessity for projects involving chemical processing and seawater desalination across the Cameroon coast.
